TRAFFIC EVENTS: -On the Krk Bridge (DC102), there is a 4 km long queue towards the mainland. Traffic is dense on most major roads and at some border crossings. We ask the drivers to adjust their driving to road conditions. Today (15 June) until 11pm, there is a traffic ban for all freight vehicles exceeding 7.5 t on some state roads in Istria and along the coast (excluding the motorways and the DC1 state road). Due to national holidays on 19 and 22 June, the ban is also in effect for the following dates: -Wednesday, 18 June, from 3pm to 11pm; -Thursday, 19 June, from 2pm to 11pm; -Saturday, 21 June, from 4am to 2pm; -Sunday, 22 June, from noon to 11pm. Tomorrow, on 16 June, from 9am until 3pm, all traffic will be suspended on the DC1 state road near Turanj (Karlovac) due to roadwork. The detour is through the DC1 state road-DC542 state road and the following towns: Mostanje,Turanj, Jelaši and Cerovac Vukmanički in both directions. Due to roadwork, traffic on the following roads has been suspended: -The DC1 state road in Knin, at the Stara Straža viaduct (until 20 June) -The DC2 state road in Koprivnica, on the section between Zagrebačka street and Križevečka roads (Zagrebačka ulica and Križeveč cesta) (until 16 July) -The DC5 Grubišno Polje-Veliki Zdenci (11 August) -The DC20 Čakovec-Đelekovec state road between Cirkovljani and Draškovec (until 20 June) -The DC29 state road, between Zlatara and Zlatar Bistrice (until 1 October) -The DC51 state road Nova Gradiška-Požega near the town of Rešetari (until 19 July) -The DC200 state road in Višnjan (until 31 July) -The DC214 state road in Gudnja (roadwork on the bridge) -The DC512 state road Makarska-Ravča near the Stupica tunnel, direction Vrgorac (due to rocksliding) -The DC543 state road near Donja Zdenčina (until 8 July); -The DC546 Stojdraga-Krašić near the town of Petričko Selo (until 25 July). Traffic restrictions: A2 Zagreb-Macelj motorway: -until 26 June at the Krapina bridge 30th-33rd km in direction Macelj traffic is proceeding in reduced lanes; -until 30 June 5th-8th km in direction Trakošćan traffic is flowing in one lane only, A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway: -until 30 June at the Zagreb (Plitvice) rest area 16th-17th km in direction Bregana traffic is flowing in reduced lanes, in direction Lipovac one lane is free only; -until 17 June at the Sava jug rest area in direction Lipovac the parking areas are closed; ROADWORK ANNOUNCEMENT: • From 16 June until 13 September, the Kraljeva Velika sjever rest area (towards Zagreb) will be closed due to reconstruction. • From 16 June until 18 June, the Sava jug rest area between the Velika Kopanica and the Babina Greda junctions (towards Lipovac) will be closed due to reconstruction. A4 Zagreb-Goričan motorway: A6 Rijeka-Zagreb motorway: A8/A9 motorway in Istria: -between the Učka tunnel and Matulji (Učka) junction there is a traffic ban on vehicles wider than 3 m and longer than 22 m in both directions; -between the Učka tunnel and Učka junction traffic is flowing alternatly, in one lane only; DC1 state road: -roadwork is in progress between Sinj and Dicmo in both directions; -until 20 June traffic is closed on the section Gračac-Knin at the Stara Straža viaduct, detour for passenger traffic/vehicles up to 7,5 tonnes: Žagrović; -until 15 June roadwork is in progress at Brnaze, from direction Sinj towards Split there is a traffic ban on vehicles longer than 7 m; -13 June 10pm-5am traffic is suspended on the DC1 Solin-Klis highway, detour: ŽC6253 regional road; DC3 Karlovac-Duga Resa state road: -until 14 June at 3pm at Gornje Mrzlo Polje one lane is free only; DC8 Adriatic road: -until 16 September at the Mandalina junction one lane is free only; -on the section Split-Visoka traffic is proceeding in one lane only; -10pm-6am traffic is closed between the Prapratno and Zaton Doli junctions, detour: Ston; DC62 Ravča-Vrgorac state road: - traffic is closed until further notice; DC200 state road: -until 31 July traffic is suspended at Višnjan, detour: through Baderna and Poreč; DC512 Makarska-Ravča state road: -due to rock sliding traffic is suspended at the Stupica tunnel towards Vrgorac. TRAFFIC BAN FOR FREIGHT VEHICLES: There is a traffic ban on freight vehicles exceeding 7.5t on the weekends, until 15 September, on major roads in Istria and the coastal area, excluding motorways and the DC1 state road. The ban will be in place on Saturdays from 4 AM until 2 PM and on Sundays from noon until 11 PM. Due to national holidays on 19 and 22 June, the ban is also in effect for the following dates: -Wednesday, 18 June, from 3pm to 11pm; -Thursday, 19 June, from 2pm to 11pm; -Saturday, 21 June, from 4am to 2pm; -Sunday, 22 June, from noon to 11pm. ADDITIONAL ADVICE: -Due to the changing weather conditions, check the Croatian Automobile Club official website or mobile app regularly for all traffic information (the information is available in real time and it changes regularly). For weather conditions, check the webpage of the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service. -Every day, in traffic, there are many cyclists, moped drivers and bikers. Other vehicle drivers are advised to pay attention to these vehicles on the road when joining traffic, changing lanes, overtaking, passing, making a U-turn, or turning. We also remind cyclists, moped riders, and motorcyclists to adjust their driving to traffic regulations and speed limits.

Until 31 December 2026 at the Erdut-Bogojevo border crossing there is a traffic ban on freight vehicles exceeding 7,5 tonnes. The Gunja-Brčko border crossing is closed for all traffic, detour: Županja-Orašje border crossing. At the Ilok-Bačka Palanka bridge traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 24 tonnes (driving speed limit of 30 km/h). Starting 3 Junly 2023 international traffic is possible at the Slivno-Drinovačko Brdo border crossing. Transit freight traffic is suspended at the Tovarnik/Šid border crossing, detour: Bajakovo border crossing. Traffic is suspended for vehicles whose maximum weight exceeds 7,5 tonnes at the Pribanjci-Vinica border crossing on the DC204 state road. The Dvor and Vitaljina border crossings are open for pedestrians and passenger traffic only. The border crossings for the international maritime traffic are: Umag, Pula, Mali Lošinj, Vis, Ubli and Cavtat (Book of Regulations on border crossings of the Republic of Croatia, pubblished at the Narodne novine, 2 January 2023).

Traffic forecast for 16 June 2025 Later today, roads will be wet and slippery on some sections of the motorways across the country. Landslides are possible. Due to strong winds on the coast, traffic restrictions for some vehicles are possible, especially on roads in Kvarner and in the Velebit region.  Dense traffic is expected on city roads and bypasses during the morning and the afternoon, as well as on some sections of the motorway throughout the day. Queueing and traffic jams are possible on road sections where roadwork is underway.  In passenger traffic, there can be delays at the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and in freight traffic at Bajakovo and Tovarnik. In ferry traffic there can be difficulties due to wind.
